Choosing Specific Products

When to use Specific Products mode

Sometimes you do not need to export a whole category or collection. Maybe you just need images from five or ten specific products. In that case, switching to Specific Products mode lets you hand pick exactly which products to include.

This is useful when:

  • You need images for a small number of products that do not share a common filter
  • You are preparing assets for a specific campaign and only want certain items
  • You want full control over exactly which products are included

How to use it

Step 1: Switch to Specific Products mode

On the dashboard, find the Selection Mode dropdown and change it from "All Products" to Specific Products.

Step 2: Open the product picker

Click the Select Products button. This opens Shopify's built in product picker, which shows all the products in your store.

Step 3: Select your products

Browse or search for the products you want, and select them. You can pick as many as you need (up to 250 products per export). When you are done, confirm your selection.

Step 4: Review your selection

The dashboard will show the list of products you selected, along with the total image count.

Step 5: Export

Click Export Images to start the export, just like you would with filtered products. You will receive an email when the ZIP is ready.

You can still configure file naming and folder structure when using Specific Products mode. These settings work the same way regardless of how you selected your products.

Changing your selection

If you want to update your selection, just click Select Products again. The product picker will remember your previous choices so you can add or remove products.

Switching back to All Products

You can switch back to All Products mode at any time using the Selection Mode dropdown. Your filter settings will still be there.
