Filtering Products for Export

Overview

When you select All Products as your selection mode, the app gives you a full set of filters to narrow down exactly which products you want to include in your export. You can combine as many filters as you like, and the app shows a live count of matching products and images as you go.

Available filters

Collections

Select one or more collections to only export products that belong to those collections. This is great when you want to export images for a specific product line or seasonal collection.

For example, if you have a "Summer 2026" collection, you can select it and only those products will be included.

Vendors

Filter by the vendor (brand) assigned to each product in Shopify. If you carry multiple brands and only need images from one of them, this filter saves you time.

Product Types

Shopify lets you assign a product type to each product (like "T-Shirt", "Mug", "Poster"). Use this filter to export images for specific product categories.

Tags

If you use tags in Shopify to organize your products, you can filter by one or more tags. This is useful for internal labeling systems, like "needs-photos-updated" or "ready-for-catalog".

Status

Filter products by their Shopify status:

Status Meaning
Active Products visible in your online store
Draft Products that are not yet published
Archived Products that have been archived

By default, no status filter is applied, which means products with any status are included.

Type a keyword to search product titles. The search is matched against your product names, so you can quickly find products like "Blue Hoodie" or "Limited Edition".

Date range

Filter products by when they were created. Use the Created after and Created before date fields to set a range. This is especially handy for exporting images from products added during a specific time period.

Combining filters

All filters work together. For instance, you could combine:

  • Collection: Summer 2026
  • Vendor: Nike
  • Status: Active

This would give you only active Nike products from your Summer 2026 collection.

Live product and image count

As you adjust filters, the app automatically updates the count showing how many products match and how many images will be exported. This way you always know what to expect before starting the export.

If you would rather hand pick individual products instead of using filters, switch to Specific Products mode. See Choosing Specific Products for more.

Next steps

Once you have your products filtered, you can configure file naming and folder structure before starting the export.
